the years by members of the Egerton Family. |

Dominating this part of the garden is the Tower, it was built on the boundary of the garden and parkland and was used originally as a lookout for sheep stealing on the parkland. |

The African Hut was built by Maurice Egerton the last owner of Tatton, he owned land in Africa and spent much of his time there farming and big game hunting, he built the hut during the war years to remind him of his love of Africa. |
