Set in 1000 acres Tatton Park offers parkland with herds of deer, lakes and beautiful gardens. The gardens are divided into different themes and modified over the years by members of the Egerton Family.
Tatton Park is managed and maintained by Cheshire County Council on behalf of the National Trust.

Dominating this part of the garden is the Tower, it was built on the boundary of the garden and parkland and was used originally as a lookout for sheep stealing on the parkland.

 

 

The African Hut was built by Maurice Egerton the last owner of Tatton, he owned land in Africa and spent much of his time there farming and big game hunting, he built the hut during the war years to remind him of his love of Africa.
